Puzzle for April 27, 2010

Johannes Kepler, a German astronomer and mathematician (yeah math!) and considered by many to be the founder of modern science, defined April 27, 4977 BC as the creation date of the Universe.

Kepler is better known for defining the three laws of planetary motion and performing pioneering work in optics including demonstrating how the human eye works.

Today his laws still define planetary motion though his reasoning has been discredited. And modern astronomers and physicists believe the the Universe's birthday (the Big Bang) occurred about 13.7 billion years ago.
