Puzzle for December 2, 2008Today is the 7th Anniversary of Enron filing for bankruptcy. A year earlier, the company employed 21,000 people and had revenues of $111 billion. The company's stock had fallen from $90.75 to $0.26. Enron became synonymous with large-scale corporate fraud and corruption as employees saw their retirement savings plummet. Several of Enron's leaders were charged with a variety of crimes including fraud, conspiracy, and insider trading. Kenneth Lay was convicted of 10 out of 11 counts while Jeffrey Skilling was convicted of 19 out of 35 charges. Of the two, who was convicted of the greater percentage of their crimes? |
